PLEASE NOTE THIS PAGE IS NOT YET COMPLETED.
Bet you thought you'd never see this one! Well, so did I.
I will give full credit to the Anet devs on this one. Breaking this map was HARD. Harder than Brahms thick head.
But, after many, many MANY hours of trying (and failing) we successfully managed it! Frankly, with some of the views we got, we are very proud of ourselves.

Grothmar Valley is located within the Blood Legion Homelands, which is part of Ascalon.
It features entertainment never seen before such as the Ooze pit - which whilst it is now a level 80 meta event, used to be a dungeon within the Eye of the North campaign in Guild Wars. It was level 1, and contained 2 bosses, 1 mini boss and other 'common'' enemies such as the Stormcloud Incubus and a large selection of oozes such s the Hulking Volatile ooze and the Ooze devourer.
According to the Wiki Article for this particular dungeon: "The 13 oozes in Gloop's group and the neighboring mob are arranged so that they form the numbers 3 and 1 on the compass. The lyrics of Pretty Fly (For a White Guy) by The Offspring include the line, "He asked for a 13 / but they drew a 31.""
Now of course, it is quite different. During the meta event, players split into three teams - Blood, Iron and Ash. Each team must step on a disk to pledge their allegiance to their legion of choice and cannot change it for the duration of the meta once chosen.
If you chose Blood legion your first challenge is to simply stand upon a capture point and keep he oozes out until all three points are captures. Three elite oozes spawn - red, green and blue, and you must then stand with the coloured clouds to gain a toxin to them kill them.
Choosing Iron, means that your first challenge is to fight the oozes as soon as they spawn - at times five individual markers will appear t different locations and these must be captured without the oozes entering in order to progress.
Ashs fist challenge is to pick an empty barrel and sneak across the room using the abilities you gain, in order to reach the leak sites.
As you can see, each challenge pertains to the particular legions best skill. Blood legion by being territorial, Ash by being sneaky, and Iron by simply beating the life out of everything that stands in front of you.
The second challenge is universal - an Elite ooze spawns, and you must murder it.
The third challenge only spawns if ALL Challenges are completed successfully. A champion Prismatic Ooze will spawn, and the main event begins. You must stand upon the air vents when prompted to,avoid the toxic oozes (this is also an achievement) and use the coloured toxin clouds to defeat the ooze.
The second phase sees the champ splitting into 3 coloured Elites at 50%. Sound simple? Good! Because it can be a pain in the backside.
Another beautiful feature is of course the outside music festival.
I won't spoil anything, but if you get the chance.... Metal legion ROCK.
