Auric Basin - A Skritts Paradise
This map is beautiful. There is so much to see and so much to do, within and outside of the map. The golden buildings extend far above the trees and thanks to the new mounts we are able to explore far more of them than we could before their implementation. Not only that but it allows us to learn a little more about the golden folk who inhabit the walls.
For instance we know that they share their domicile with their enemies, forced to bridge their every day life with a massive struggle to protect Glints final secret, all whilst knowing that at any moment (dictated by a timer of course) their enemy could burst forth from the ground to once again rain death upon their home.
We also know that their home once extended far past its current boundaries, into Dragons Stand.

The above two images were taken inside of Dragons Stand, and shows the remains of one of their great buildings. However I shall avoid spoiling anything further on this. You'll need to go to the appropriate page to find out more.
One thing about this map that does take us by surprise is the fact that a temple, arguably one of the most beautiful in Auric, is inaccessibly by normal means. This temple is situated at the highest point in the map, and notoriously difficult to get to now owing to the presence of incredibly high walls surrounding it.

Saying that however, we still managed it, and we are exceptionally happy that we did. This place is AMAZING, there is no other word for it. The music is serene and hopeful, the area itself feels refreshing and pure despite the calamity of the Mordrem thrashing below at the foot of the mountain.
Whilst we cannot tell you how to get to this area (please see our rules on this) we do hope that you will enjoy the following video taken from the area in an attempt to share with you as much as possible of this beautiful area. |
