Bloodtide Coast - You may have a Wurm Problem
We all know Bloodtide Coast as the land of Triple Trouble. A trifecta of notoriously difficult Wurms who run (crawl?) around, terrorising the coast and popping up and down through the ground just out of your reach when you're on one side of the river and they're on the other because screw you wurm get back over here !
What we don't know about the coast however is that there is actually much more than just 3 wurms under there - there's at least 6! And all of them seem to glow a strange green shimmer even whilst under the water.

All of those aside, the map design in Bloodtide is quite interesting. Despite a few graphical glitches that appear here and there, where shadow and light patches seem to merge together in a criss-cross of patterns that are actually quite pretty to see. The map is quite well shaped, mountains and rivers run behind the scenes where you wouldn't expect them, the water spews forth from little outlets just as you would expect, and Anet has even used the same trick as Skyrim. Only needed a small bit of metal sticking up out of the ground? Why not bury an entire scaffold!
All jokes aside, this was an interesting map to escape from. After easily spending 3 straight days on it we finally found our way out and are happy to be able to share with you today images of what we came across.
